- Findings from the 2025 Minnesota Health Access Survey (MNHA) (PDF) (March 2026). New data from the Minnesota Health Access Survey (MNHA) shows a rise in the number of uninsured Minnesotans. Uninsurance rose from 3.8% in 2023 to 5.8% in 2025—equating to approximately 116,000 more Minnesotans without health insurance. Visit Minnesota Health Access Survey (MNHA) for more information.

This brief relies upon data from the Minnesota All Payer Claims Database (MN APCD) and methods developed by the Health Care Cost Institute (HCCI) to produce population-based estimates of spending, use, and prices for medical care and prescription drugs. The Health Economics Program’s “Minnesota Health Care Markets Chartbook” is intended to provide convenient access to the most up-to-date Minnesota statistics on a wide variety of topics, including health care spending, drivers of increased health care costs in Minnesota, access to insurance coverage, and health care provider trends. The Chartbook is updated regularly as new data and analysis become available.
