Infectious Diseases in Child Care Settings and Schools Manual

The Hennepin County Community Health Department, with the support of the local and state disease prevention and control staff and child care consultants, created a manual for child care and schools.

This resource contains fact sheets about a variety of infectious diseases, as well as information for disease prevention and control. It is designed for administrators, child care providers, caregivers, parents and guardians, and school health staff and is consistent with the national standards put forth by the American Public Health Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

  • Hennepin County: Infectious Diseases in Childcare Settings and Schools
This manual provides disease prevention and control guidelines about specific infectious diseases that may be encountered in child care settings or schools.
