A Post-Viral Infection-Associated Chronic Condition
Infection-associated chronic conditions (IACCs) are long-term symptoms triggered by an acute viral, bacterial, or parasitic infection. Chronic symptoms can include extreme fatigue, cognitive impairment (brain fog), post-exertional malaise, pain, and immune dysfunction. These symptoms can be severe enough to interfere with daily life or cause new disability.
