Reporting TSE
Healthcare providers are required to report to the Minnesota Department of Health all confirmed or suspected cases of human TSEs.

 An autopsy is the only way to confirm the diagnosis of CJD and to determine the type of CJD. The National Prion Disease Pathology Surveillance Center may be available to coordinate autopsies free of charge.
