Artesunate for InjectionTM manufactured by Amivas(Amivas.com), is approved by the FDA, and is commercially available in the United States. FDA-approved artesunate is available for purchase from major drug distributors. For more details on acquiring IV artesunate, visit: CDC: Appendix C: How to Acquire IV Artesunate in the United States. Clinicians can call the CDC’s malaria hotline and receive consultations on diagnosis and management of malaria cases on a 24-hour basis, please call 770-488-7788 (from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. ET) or 770-488-7100 (after hours or on weekends and holidays).
