IHVE Data System

Frequently Asked Questions

What is IHVE?

IHVE (pronounced “ivy”) is the Family Home Visiting data system. IHVE stands for Information for Home Visiting Evaluation.

Who uses IHVE?

Many FHV grantees receiving funding from MDH are required to submit data to IHVE. Refer to the current Family Home Visiting Grantee Requirements document posted on the Funding and Grants Management page for more information about which FHV grants require data submissions to IHVE.

Which data system should I use to submit data to IHVE?

The following data systems have IHVE-compatible data collection forms:

  • Client Track - Contact Metropolitan Alliance of Connected Communities for information
  • Nightingale Notes
  • PH-Doc - Contact MN Counties Computer Cooperative for information

MDH maintains a set of IHVE data collection forms in the MDH REDCap system for FHV grantees that do not have an electronic health record or case management system with the capability of submitting data to IHVE.

FHV grantees that are interested in connecting other data systems to IHVE can contact the FHV Evaluation Unit at Health.FHVData@state.mn.us for information on system requirements.

Who can I contact if I have more questions?

Contact the FHV Evaluation Unit at Health.FHVData@state.mn.us if you have questions about IHVE.
