Flooded well water testing

The Minnesota Department of Health strongly encourages owners of homes with private wells to test their drinking water wells that have been impacted by floodwaters. Laboratories are accredited by the Minnesota Department of Health and are approved for testing drinking water for the presence of Total Coliform bacteria and E. coli under the Safe Drinking Water Program. If your drinking water requires testing, please use the customized search feature to locate a laboratory in your area.  Please search for the Safe Drinking Water program and the Escherichia coli analyte that accept samples from private homeowners.   The list of labs certified to perform that type of testing will be displayed, please contact the laboratory directly to request your specific sampling needs and determine the associated sample collection, shipping procedures and the costs per analysis.
